Invitation to discussion on 'Future of HERALD', 19-20 April

All are welcome to a meeting to map out the future of the HERALD network beyond the end of COST funding.  This meeting will take place on 19-20th April 2017 in Amsterdam.  Main topics for discussion are the activities of the network, how to finance these activities, links beyond Europe, what structure the network should adopt and concrete steps for moving forward.

Those already planning to attend the ASD Workshop later that day may find it convenient to come early and attend the discussion meeting, while others may prefer to fly in and out from Amsterdam Schiphol airport in one day (20th).  It will also be possible to dial in via skype or teleconference.

Reimbursement of travel costs will be available to a limited number of attendees on a first-come-first-served basis subject to COST rules.

More details and how to register are available on this webpage and by...

netWORK2shop @ EuroCVD 21 & Baltic ALD 15

Dear members of the HERALD community,

on behalf of my fellow PhD students, I want to inform you that the Joint EuroCVD 21 & Baltic ALD 15 conference (11. - 14. June 2017, Linköing, Sweden) will include a workshop, called "netWORK2shop", before the tutorials on 10th June 2017. This workshop is intended to serve as an event especially for PhD students who didn't have the opportunity for advanced networking on conferences. The workshop is organized by six PhD students from Ruhr-University Bochum (Germany) who are all attending the conference.

To make the workshop a success, it is of utmost importance to inform as many PhD students as possible about this event. Therefore we kindly ask you to spread the word and to inform your junior colleagues about this opportunity. More details can be found in the attached invitation.

With kind regards

Max Gebhard...

Novel High k Application Workshop 2017

NaMLab invites to the Novel High-k Application Workshop on March 9th and 10th, 2017. New challenges offered by the application of ALD based high-k dielectric materials in micro– and nanoelectronics will be discussed by more than 80 participants from industry, research institutes and universities. In this series of annual workshops NaMLab has created a stimulating platform for application-oriented scientists to exchange ideas and discuss latest experimental results on MIM-capacitors, process technology, leakage & reliability as well as characterization of high-k dielectrics integrated in silicon based micro– and nanoelectronics. The ferroelectric properties of doped HfO2 and ZrO2 were discovered 10 years ago. On the second day of the workshop, root causes for the formation of this so far unknown phase will be discussed. As speakers, various HERALD members and their international partners will present their work.
