Personal or laboratory research profile: 

Our research focus extends from growth and characterization of functional semiconductor materials to fabrication and simulation of devices for various applications. In our group, we work on growth/synthesis of semiconducting thin films employing several techniques such as: Pulsed Filtered Cathodic Arc, Electron Cyclotron Resonance Microwave Chemical Vapor Deposition, Spin Coating and Electrochemical Deposition.  Recently, we worked on n and p-type semiconducting ZnO thin films which have tremendous potential for transparent electronics, optoelectronics operating in the UV and visible region, and for multifunctional devices. At the meantime, we are working on depositing amorphous carbon and nitrogen doped carbon thin films using ECR-Microwave Plasma CVD for electronic device applications. Currently, we are working on CZTS as an absorber layer for photovoltaic applications.  Growth recipes for a variety of functional semiconductor materials are being optimized through a detailed materials characterization process including structural, optical, electrical, and surface/morphological characterization tools. Our main purpose is to contribute both to material and simulation of thin film based semiconductor devices. Our research lab facility is given as follows:

    University Central Lab facilities includes next generation SEM, Raman, UV-VIS-NIR, AFM, XRD etc. We are able to use this lab in addition to our personal labs.
