Zhen-Yu Tian is a professor at the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He got his PhD degree from the University of Science and Technology of China. He spent two years as a postdoc in Nancy University (LRGP, CNRS) in France and then worked in Bielefeld University in Germany as an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow as well as group leader. Since 2013, he established his research group in IET, CAS, which is financialized by the "Youth Thousand Talents Program" and "Hundred Talents Program". Currently, the group works in the topics of chemical vapor deposition, catalytic combustion and combustion kinetics with in-/ex situ diagnostic techniques and theoretical calculations.
