Prof. Sumit Agarwal’s research group at the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) is seeking a postdoctoral researcher for a collaborative project with Lam Research Corporation to study area-selective atomic layer deposition of dielectric materials for potential applications in semiconductor devices. The focus of project will be on achieving atomistic-level control over the surface chemistry through the use of in situ optical diagnostics such as surface infrared spectroscopy and ellipsometry. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in chemistry, chemical engineering, physics, materials science, or a closely related field. Ideally, the candidates should be familiar with vapor-phase processing of materials and advanced materials characterization techniques. The position is available starting February 15th, 2017, but will remain open until filled. The annual salary is $47,500 with full health insurance benefits for all dependents. The initial appointment will be for one year, and renewable for up to two years.
